As a teenage girl, this just explains my whole life. I grew up with only one grandpa in my family. And I started to think already, If my mom had me by going to a party and hooking up with a guy, or either she survived SA... I never asked though.

I've never met my dad, like, my BIOLOGICAL DAD. As far as I recall, it has always been my mother, my (now late) grandmother and my step-father. Strangely enough, I've always felt so...disconnected from my own family, as if I didn't belong there, as if I was just a mistake. These feelings only strengthened when my half-brother (whom I adore with all my soul) was born. I don't think my step-dad loves me, nor care about me at all. Neither seem to have done my real dad, given the fact I've never met him, and every time I bring up this topic to my mom, she grimaces in discomfort and dismisses my words. I've always felt like a part of me was missing, like I wasn't complete. I envy all the kids who at least know both of their parents, even if they're divorced, even if they're bad people - they, at least, have reasons to hate them. I can't hate my biological dad, because I don't know him. I don't know what's he's like, what were his reasons, or even if he's still alive. I just want not to feel so empty anymore. But it's useless, if my own dad didn't care enough to stick around, what are the chances any other person will?
